Since 1999 I have run a website design company called Advanced Web Designs Ltd (who built this website) which is based in Hertford, and being sat in front of a computer 10 hours a day does not make for the healthiest of lifestyles and so I’m always looking for a fitness challenge to focus on.
For some reason when I see a hill or a mountain I have an instinctive urge to climb it and ever since I can remember, summiting Mount Everest has always been an ambition of mine. I know that the trip to Base Camp isn’t the same as climbing to the top, but for now it’s a good start and will either make me more determined to summit the highest peak in the world, or put me right off the idea!
In 2009, together with Rob Hughes and David West (who are also on this base camp tip) I summited Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and over the past 15 years have completed the ‘3 Peaks’ challenge a number of times, climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales with 24 hours.
